Inspiration Page:           I recently found a logo tutorial that involves the golden ratio. I watched it all the way through and found it very helpful. I didn't know you could use the golden ratio rule on logos, but the design that this person made turned out very well!                     Watching this video the whole way through, there were many things that I found helpful. First of all, he showed how to make the golden ratio circle in adobe illustrator, which I can use for future logos. The video is also step by step which makes it very easy to follow along.                     Using the golden ratio in the design definitely elevated the sleekness and visual appeal it has. The simple color gradients also make the turtle look interesting, but not too busy.  Overall I thought this video was very helpful and I plan to experiment with...

Reflection Page:      I was asked by my friend who runs the CV book club to make a logo for their Group Me and Instagram page. I recently finished the design I was working on and showed it to my friend who is the founder of the club. She loved it and made it the official logo for the club. First came up with four sketches for the logo and had my friend pick out the two she liked best. From there, I turned those two designs from a sketch to a digital version. When I had finished both, I again showed it to my friend and she pick which one she liked better.     One thing that I didn't like as much during this process wa...

Process Page: I started a new project recently because my friend asked if I could make a logo for book club that we are both in. Here are some pictures of my progress so far. These are four initial sketches that I made and showed to the book club leader. She told me that she liked all of them, but that the two on the left were her favorite. First I wanted to work on the open book with flowers design, so I sketched it bigger so that I could use it as a reference in illustrator. This is what I have so far in illustrator. I still have to fix some things in the design and add the text underneath, but I am pretty happy with how things are going so far.           Overall, I am pretty happy with how the design is coming along. I still want to make the stack of books design on illustrator, but I think I have made good progress. One of the challenges I came across was the gradients I used for shadows and also on the flowers. I had trouble getting the gradient t...
