Reflection Page:
I was asked by my friend who runs the CV book club to make a logo for their Group Me and Instagram page. I recently finished the design I was working on and showed it to my friend who is the founder of the club. She loved it and made it the official logo for the club. Here is my reflection for how I think it went.

My Thoughts:
I am very much happy with how this logo turned out. I think it is my best one yet and looks like an actual logo you might see in the real world for an organization. I also think I handled my process better than previous times too. First came up with four sketches for the logo and had my friend pick out the two she liked best. From there, I turned those two designs from a sketch to a digital version. When I had finished both, I again showed it to my friend and she pick which one she liked better.
One thing that I didn't like as much during this process was the other option I made for the logo. It was a drawing of a open book with flowers, and I really liked the sketch of it, but when I made the digital version on illustrator it didn't look quite right. It looked fine, but it looked more like an illustration rather than a logo if that makes sense. I think the reason for this is that the drawing was too detailed and needed to be simplified. I took this into consideration when making the second design in illustrator.
The final version above is the second sketch that I turned digital. In this one I was careful to keep the details minimal and make the overall design look very simple. I think this strategy really helped bring the logo together. Another thing that helped make the logo look better was that I stuck to a five color palate that I found online instead of just using random colors that I liked. Another thing that I changed while making the second design is the font. In my first design I used a calligraphy type font. It looked fine with that design, but when I was looking for a font on the second design, I found that a san serif font looked more cohesive with the simple, rounded edges in the logo.
Overall, I am very happy with how this logo turned out and I believe I have improved since my previous logo.
