End of MP 2 Presentations Reflection
During the MP2 reflection presentations this year, I found a few that impressed and inspired me. Erica's blog post was one of the presentations that I liked. I really liked the projects she was working on and how they applied to the theme of art and nature. I did this theme for my work last year, so I understand the difficulty and time it takes to produce this type of art. One thing I learned from her was another way to plan before starting a project: making a Pinterest board. I have never tried making a Pinterest board for inspiration on a project before, but I think it could be helpful for graphic design. I could use a Pinterest board in the future to gather designs that follow a style I want to imitate.

Another presentation that inspired me was Savannah's work and her process of recreating a statue. She wanted to model the statue of David in blender. To do this she initially made some sketches of the torso for reference when modeling in blender. I learned from her presentation that it is very helpful to sketch things out before you start producing. This is because it allows you to experiment with how the product will look, and it prevents you from going into a project from scratch with no idea of what the final artwork will look like. I figured this out in my own projects too, when I found by best designs were those that I had sketched out more. I can apply this to my future work by making even more sketches before making the final digital version. While I have been making some sketches, I want to increase the amount I am making so that I have more options to choose from.
Neo's art work was also something that inspired me. Their art consisted of digital drawings, and animations, most of them made in procreate. I have never used procreate before and I didn't know that you could make animations from it. This is something I learned from their presentation. I learned that you can not only draw digitally on procreate, but also make animations on it too. Another thing that Neo mentioned in their presentation is that they felt like they were a little rushed and didn't spend as much time on their art as they could have. This is something I can learn from because I sometimes feel like I don't spend as much time experimenting with my designs as I should have. Excluding the designs that have a deadline, going forward I can try to put more time into my designs than I have previously.
