12/15/22 MET Investigation

 The MET:

In this Blog Post I have decided to investigate the MET Museum and the exhibits that I would like to visit.

The Tudors: Art and Majesty in Renaissance England:

One of the exhibits that I would like to visit is The Tudors: Art and Majesty in Renaissance England exhibit. In this collection there are many paintings, sculptures and salvaged items from the renaissance period. This period of history has always interested me, and I would like to see the art from that period in person. Here are some of the pieces specifically that I came across on their website:

Kimono Style: The John C. Weber Collection:

Another exhibit that seems interesting is the "Kimono Style: The John C. Weber Collection." This exhibit has many traditional kimonos that each have their own intricate designs. Also apart of this exhibit are various items and accessories.

Other Attractions:

In addition to exhibits, there are singular art pieces and attractions that I would like to see:

Little Dancer of Fourteen Years

The Dance Class

A human-headed winged lion (lamassu)

Greek and Roman sculpture court
