Progress with the Science Olympiad Design:
Here is this week's progress with the design I am working on. I have included several pictures that show the progression of the logo, and descriptions of what I changed in each.

These are the original sketches that I came up with. I had two variations. One with both of the eagle's wings spread out, and one with only one wing spread out. I was also going to add the geometric shapes to the eagle with one wing spread, but my client seemed to like the one with both wings spread better.
Here is another sketch of the design, but this time I added a small space between each of the shapes. I also made the wings proportionate to the best of my ability.

Next my client wanted to see what it would look like with color, so I used an app on my phone to digitally trace over the picture of my sketch and fill the shapes with color. I tried this with two different color placements to see what would look the best.

Then my client expressed that they only wanted the outline to be colored so I went back and only filled the outline of the shapes. In this version, I also digitally added the text below the eagle.

After the last version, she told me that she would like the "Cumberland Valley" above the Science Olympiad. Because of this change, I had to move both words below the wings because the word "Cumberland" would not properly fit under the wings. She also told me she wanted more contrast with the colors, so I made the eye and beak black instead of red to make them stand out more. This is the version that I currently have.
The next thing my client expressed is that she would like less shapes in the eagle so that it is easier to print on t-shirts and merchandise alike. She would also like the text on the design to be thicker for the same reason of printing. This is what I am currently working on and have not yet finished. Overall I think the progress is going pretty well and I am happy with the results so far.
