Theme/Concept for the Year 9/17/22
Visual Delight and the Arts of Daily Life
This year, I have decided to go for the theme Visual Delight and the Arts of Daily Life. I decided to choose this theme because I think it fits nicely with Graphic Design; which is what I want to focus on this year. This theme is all about the art we see in our daily life that we might overlook. For example, an image on a t-shirt, a brand logo you might see on a bag of chips, or the design on a wedding invitation. These were all carefully designed by digital artists. This is something that I have a curiosity for and would like to pursue this year.
My first project that I want to do is create a logo/design for my crochet Instagram account where I post my own art. During the District Arts Festival this year, I plan to sell some of my crochet stuffed animals. So I figured it would be a good idea to design a logo so that I can advertise my account, and make it look more presentable. I might make two different designs, one that is larger, and one that is small and could fit in the profile of my Instagram account.
Examples
Here is a more relevant example of something similar to what I have in mind. This is some ones logo for their crochet small business. I think this is a very well made logo, because it relates to their business while also looking visually appealing. For example, the yarn relates to how the creator makes art out of yarn, and the cat represents one of the many things that the creator can design.
