End of Marking Period 3 Reflections

 

Evan:

One of the presentations that inspired me was Evan's. Even though he is working on logo design-- a field I am not very familiar with, I would like to switch over to graphic design in the future; so if figured his project would be something I could learn from. I was really impressed by the improvement from the first outline to the final product, and I think the finished logo came out really well. I also like how the logo isn't too detailed because logos are easier to look at when they are simpler. Overall I am inspired by his work, and I hope I can create something in the future like it.

 

Tina:

Another project that inspired me was Tina's character model. At first glance it might look like she didn't make that much progress, but I know from experience how long modeling can take, especially character modeling. I think the hair is turning out really well so far, and the body looks well done too. I was also inspired by Tina's idea to commission an artist for a reference image. I hope that I can incorporate Tina's creativity into my own project.

Sean:

Sean's film also inspired me. I really liked how the voice over was playing in the background and laid out the story, paired with the visuals from the future. The thing that impressed me the most was the camera angles. All of the shots flowed smoothly together, and none of them seemed out of place or awkward. Sometimes in my animations I feel like the camera work and angles don't flow smoothly together, or aren't paced well enough. So hopefully that is something that I can take into account of with my project that I am finishing up.
