Blog Post and Work Log 3/13/2022

 Process Page:

This week I worked on finalizing the hand texture, and creating the land to put the grass on.

I finished texturing the hand in the beginning of the week. Originally I was using a different texture, but I decided to change it because the texture seemed a little too patchy. Instead I decided to use another texture option from one of my blog posts that was more subtle. I think it looks a lot better now that I fixed it.

This is when I first started the process of creating a landscape. I inserted a plane, and then I added a subdivision surface to it so that the plane would have more vertices and I would be able to sculpt it. However, I made a mistake while creating this landscape. Because I am adding grass on top of the landscape, I needed to add the grass image as a plane so that the grass would be the right texture. Because of this I will probably have to redo the landscape.

Here is where I stopped for this week. I thought I would be done sculpting this landscape when class was over on Friday, but then I discovered the mistake. So I will probably have to sculpt a landscape again, but at least it should be quicker this time because I know what type of look I am going for. When I redo it, I do however want to make the land less lumpy and more natural.

Tuesday: I retextured the hand using a different texture because the last one was patchy
