End of MP 2 Presentations Reflection
After seeing all the presentations from my classmates, I have taken into account what they have learned and the different ways they progressed through their project. I hope put these skills to use in my future projects, and even moving forward with my current project.
One of the presentations that inspired me was Winnie's project. Even though we are exploring different forms of art, I still learned something from her experience. Winnie decided to make a tutorial about how to make a cookie in Minecraft. To make this video, she explored photoshop and experimented with premier pro to make visuals, titles, and a character. I thought her idea was very creative, and I liked how she used photoshop and premier pro in different ways than she had before. This inspires me to try experimenting with both premier pro and photoshop in the future so I can learn new effects and ways to incorporate new ideas into my projects. I think this will be helpful to experiment with, especially since I would like to switch gears and learn more about graphic design in the future.
Another classmate that I learned from was Tina. She decided to take on character modeling this year. It is something new that she wanted to learn about and try for the firsts time. It is definitely a daunting task, but nevertheless she set her mind on it and watched many tutorials so that she could learn this new skill. Throughout her project, she faced a lot of difficulties and had to backtrack a few times. Even though she had problems she kept pushing forward until she liked what she was creating, and it resembled her initial goal. I admire her perseverance and would like to have that mindset in my own projects moving forward. I also like how she was not afraid to try something new even though it was not easy. I too would like to take on new ideas that interest me even if they seem difficult.
Austin also inspired me with his presentation. He decided to make an animation about different emotions and how each one is brought about by different situations. In one of his scenes, he made a bedroom, and it had cool lighting. Then he decided to make the bedroom have warmer lighting to better fit the mood he was looking for. I like how he considered the lighting and how it affected the overall meaning. He also added fog to another scene in an alleyway so that it would match the mood. I would also like to take into account how different lighting can change the feeling of the animation in my future projects.
